May is Quadriceps Month

The quadriceps are the collective name for the four main muscles of the front of the the thigh: the rectus femoris, vastus lateralis, vastus medialis and vastus intermedius.

The quadriceps power knee extension. Therefore, they are crucial in walking, running, jumping and squatting. Both sport performance and general health will benefit from strengthening the muscles of the front of the thigh.
